self closing chicken doors

Hello. I'm new to this site, but I want to put a question out there and get some feed back. I've looked at self closing doors but couldn't bring myself to pay for them. I got to thinking about how to make my own and came up with a pretty simple design that works without any kind of electricity at all. Every night when I look in on my chickens they are in the coop and the door is shut. I don't worry about them at all. I don't know if I have come up with something that would be considered useful to those of us that raise chickens at home or not. I know this might sound like a gimmick, but it isn't. I've been using it for a year or more and just thought I might need to move forward with it. I would not be selling a product. I would be selling a drawing that would show how to make this item. If you could make a self closing door with $20.00 worth of material, would it be something that backyard chicken growers would be interested in? Please give me some thoughts or ideas on this, please.
