Self Protection Flashlight-I WANT ONE Perfect lady size weapon

I'll pass on that and use use a conceal carry. Harder to have a gun stolen from you if you have it on your side and can't put it down like a purse.

Plus, that light looks dinky. Get one that really shines, like a surefire or eagle tac. Light up the top of trees no problem from the palm of your hand.

I already have a self protection flashlight. It's a 5 1/2 lb. police dept. issue maglite. It's almost as long as my arm, from wrist to shoulder and if you get hit with this thing, you won't ever forget the pain. Don't ask me how I know this.

I have those.

During Christmas season they sell a set at Sam's Club that comes with a big one (3D maybe?) and a tiny AA one, and CLAMPS to mount the flashlight. THE BEST invention ever I always kinda wondered if you could just buy the clamps separate? I bought a set and gave the mini light to my sister for a stocking stuffer, kept the big light and clamps for myself. lol
I have one mounted on my bedroom wall just below the lightswitch, and same place on my backdoor. The one for the backdoor has a LED bulb (worth it if you're buying a new flashlight, but I haven't "upgraded" my old ones) and THAT is what scared off our first raccoon predator. I also carry one in the truck - it's invaluable many times over, and you don't need a license to carry it should you need to use it for something other than seeing in the dark

This is going on my christmas list. Finally, something "chicken" related that my husband will willingly want to buy.

I am not a violent person at all, but I can't help but

over the thought of walking down a dark street/road/alley and having someone start something. Whip that baby out and send them running with their butt shot off.

My DH has an extensive gun collection, not a hunter, just likes to collect and this would be such a neat gift. Too bad they aren't producing them.

Well, please forgive me if this rates as hijacking the thread, but my BIL sent me an email this am about how on the 2010 income tax returns people are required to register and pay taxes and all sorts of things on all guns... is this an internet BS rumor?
edited to add: and yes, that's cool.

Silkie, I'm with you...gadets are cool, but gadets are also what get people killed.

I would much rather have my Kimber, and my sure fire......two TOOLS that were designed for carry, protection, and function. Items I would put my life in don't need an info-merccial, they are tried and true.
