Hi,
since I built a large coop in the fall I am hoping to be able to sell my A-frame tractor.
- I built it in the spring and only used it 4-5 months so it is in really nice shape.
- 6' long, 3'9" wide, 4'2" tall on 2 wheels
- It has 3 doors upstairs, 1 downstairs, most parts like floors and inside walls as well as drippings tray, roost etc. are removable.
- All the wiring downstairs is hardwire cloth, not chicken wire.
- There is room upstairs for a feeder and 1 nestingbox.
- There is a dropdown door to go downstairs that can be opened via a wire from the outside.
- The bottom frame is pressure treated wood.
- The downstairs section where the door is is also covered with clear plexiglass for extra protection from rain and wind.
- All upstairs floors are covered with vinyl floor pieces for easier cleanup
- The roof is rolled asphalt roofing and there is an additional roost installed so the chickens have a place to escape up high in the yard.

Can anybody give me an idea what I should ask for it? This was the first one I built, so I am not sure how moch to ask.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. THANK YOU!

How much do you have in it and how long have you used it might help determine its value.

I won't tell you how much to charge, but depending on where you live and the price you settle on, I may be interested in buying.

PM me when you decide. Thanks.

My roommate in college used to make Jewelry, to price a piece she would calculate the cost of materials. She decided she wanted to make $10/hour, she would multiply that by how many hours she spent working on it and add that to the cost of the materials. That would be her wholesale cost then she would multiply by 2 for retail.

Since the coop is slightly used (but looks fantastic btw!) I would probably offer it at wholesale or less, maybe an 80% reduction for use? If you estimate high then you've always got some room to go down and haggle the price.

Ballpark though, I'd say a couple-hundred dollars would be a good starting point, I've seen similar tractors (new) going for $4-500.

Hi -- your coop looks really wonderfully planned and thought-out. But used, I would think $250. would be a realistic price. You don't mention how many birds can be housed, but I imagine 3 -4 tops? Perhaps you could offer to supply the hens with it, as a package? Then I would think you could get $325 with no problem. Good luck! And your lawn is perfection!
