Selling chickens for profit

all depends on market. i don't raise chickens for money, (but i do raise/keep honey bees for profit)

keep tract of costs and expenses. you may sell a meat chicken for 15 bucks but if it cost 16 to raise you just lost a dollar.

keep it legal, where i live we can keep 999 meat birds a year with no permit. but make sure you follow the laws, i know selling meat birds live and butchered are two different things here. but a law suit or fine could set you back big time.

That’s a lot of birds. 🤣

If I buy my chickens from the hatchery whats the best age to let them go so that people will want to buy them
Pullets, they csn be sold for more but they eat SO much then. Right befor they start to lay really

They do eat a lot! So then I would need some oats and bread to cut down on feed!
You could ferment, or sell as chicks as well and sue thst miney for food. How much is a 50lb bag of starter/grower?
