Good morning Sarah, and welcome to BYC. If you really enjoy showing, I would recommend that you attend a local show. Look at the breeds that you really like and try to obtain brood stock from someone who does well at the show. Initial cost may be higher, but it costs no more to feed quality birds than it costs to feed hatchery stock. Good luck, and enjoy your flock.
