Hi all! Im wanting to sell infertile eggs and chicks in the future. How would I go about this? Do I need a license or something?
thanks

In the state of NY, you will only need a license to sell birds if you:

(1) Operate as a hatchery
(2) Sell birds off of your property (ie meeting somebody at the Walmart)

Check with your state department of agriculture just in case.

Do you mean fertile eggs or infertile eggs?
For the most part it depends on where you live. You can get a permit to sell infertile eggs anywhere around the country.
For chicks and fertile hatching eggs, your first step is to get your flock NPIP certified. That is a national program required to ship any poultry across state lines. But every state is different in procedures. That information is attainable from your state dept. of agriculture.

You need a permit to meet up and sell chicks or only if you sell chicks off your property?
