Hi! Ok so here’s where I’m at 😂
I have friends who would like me to incubate some chicken eggs for them and then raise them for 6 weeks before giving them to them. I am working on a price but I’m not sure what to do.
i was thinking of doing a “base“ price fro the eggs (I would like a price per egg because they’ve not yet decided how many they want)
And then a seperate price per chick that hatches that I keep for 6 weeks.
i don’t know how much they will eat during the 6 weeks so that’s my main problem with making an estimate.
my chickens are Americana mixes with most likely barred rock and others I don’t know.
Any guesses for a fair price would be amazing to help me consider! Especially if you know how much they eat until week 6 so I can know how much that’ll cost me!

I would wait until 6 weeks to price. Then they only have to for who survives, you can add to the price if there is any complications you had to deal with, and you can calculate the feed costs and how much profit you want.

Thanks!
i think I need to break it up before hand to work with how they want it. I think how many chicks they want dependsentirely on the price I set. So I need to give them a basic price. That’s smart though, in the future I will probably do that 😉 I’m new to this! But hope to be able to keep it up!

OH! And does anyone have a recommendation on a good incubator for cheap for chicks or ducklings? Thanks :)
I bought a Nollapo incubator on amazon for 69.99... haven't tested it out though. It holds up to 24 eggs depending on how big your eggs are, can candle them, shows humidity, shows temp, and counts down the days depending on what you are hatching. For its price it doesn't seem bad at all.

Awesome thank you! I happened upon one for a reasonable price and am going to try it out soon!!! Hopefully it works good!
