Selling Ducks/Eggs in the UK

I was wondering if anyone knew what the rules/regulations are for selling ducks/duck eggs in the UK? My friend's calls were breeding and she tried to sell some back to the farm that we got them from but was told she needed a licence to do that. Is that true and if so, what is it and how do you go about getting one? I now have 4 females in addition to my 2 males so will be getting eggs and babies at some point in the near future so it would be good to know if we can sell them without worrying about consequences

I dont think there are any laws regarding that I buy eggs all the time and I have never heard mention of a licence, btw im in the north so technically part of the UK

Buying and selling are two different things. I used to breed snakes and had a lot of pet stores that wanted some of them. I had to be licensed to sell to them but of course, any fool with money can buy from them.

Not sure about UK rules or import/export.
