Selling eggs

Can you just sell eggs anywhere or do you need a permit or something? My chickens just started laying eggs and I want to sell them, but I don't know what to do to be allowed to sell them.

You need to check with your city ordinance. It's different from city to city.

X2 on the ordinance. Most times if your not selling in a public place they aren't too picky about permits.

Call city hall in your city. Sometimes you can find this info online. However, the city I live in I have not seen what the law is on selling eggs. I don't have enough to sell anyways. We barely have enough for our own family. I just lost 2 hens in the last month.

Most places allow you to sell eggs from your personal property/farm withouth permits but again you will need to contact city hall to be sure as the fine for selling illegally is sure to erase any/all profits
