Today im sending my silkie roo and his favorite tiny girl to a new home. Wondering if I should send 2 hens with him or if she will be ok? Its a nice home but no other silkies. I hate over thinking these things. Thank you!

She seems to only be bonded to him but I think ill send 2 just so I dont worry as much. I have a total of 5 so I have to keep 2 so they have friends too. Most people I know dont think twice about these things lolIf they are bonded she will probably be lonely

Although I'm new at this, I researched and found the smaller chickens can get picked on by the bigger ones. Perhaps make sure the new owner is informed, they may need to introduce slowly. Also it depends have far they are going because most hatcheries say they are safer when they travel out of state with more chicks/chickens in the box. But if they aren't going too far than that's probably ok.
I told her about it and thankfully she said she will bring them back if there are problems. I had to divide my coop because my full size birds will eat the silkies. Theyre just going up the mountain from us, 20 mins away lol.Although I'm new at this, I researched and found the smaller chickens can get picked on by the bigger ones.
