Semi-urgent, my silkie chick was injured by my RIR and I'm so upset!

I JUST rescued the mom, whose back looks like this from being picked on... but this baby was in a locked brooding box (w two others who got away), when my big chicken broke in and ripped open her back. I brought her inside and am treating her w mupirocin, but each application takes off more fuzz. It's not bleeding anymore, but the outside skin is badly injured and I'm wondering if she'll ever grow feathers again, or be half nakey, like her mom?? She's in w quail hatchlings right now for company. Any ideas? I'm afraid to wrap, or close off her wounds right now.

Can you get some photos of the Mom too?
Is this the only chick?

Chick is very young, so the down is coming off. I would expect her to feather in fine as she recovers.
The Mupirocin, try "warming" it a bit between your fingers before applying it, it may go on a little easier. Leave the wound uncovered, but watch that the quail don't pick at her. She may do better by herself hard to know.
I would keep her warm and get her hydrated. Once drinking offer a bit of feed and see how it goes.
For Mom...depends on damage, a lot of times feathers will be replaced, it just takes time.

Yes, she's my only chick, I hatched her 3 wks ago. Mom's fine, except she's had a bald back since I got her a couple of months ago. She's in the middle of the pecking order here, but was last in the old flock. Chick seems annoyed more than anything.... with me 🤣, but seems stronger today. I'm not in a hurry to put her back out and may let her pass into the brood box w the baby quail, everyone seems to be bonding well, plus w them, she's the biggest thing there and she's not skittish.

I'm grateful for the comment about the down ❤️, they just look so dang fragile at this age, even though I know how hardy they can be.

Thank you.
