I have had multiple chicken farmers/vets look over the hen. I am realizing that "checked" might be the wrong word to use. She was assessed and did not seem to have the mites (a big part of that is the fact that she does not restlessly pick at her feathers/skin). She just doesn't seem to be growing new feathers. The only pecking she has been doing recently are in two very specific spots on her wings, and that is being treated). I will say that I have not recently tried ivermectin, as it was not suggested to me, and I didn't want to do anything unnecessary. I personally don't believe that deplumbing mites are the issue, but if there is no harm in treating her as if she does have them, I will look into treatment/ivermectin.How/who checked?
