Claire our bearded white silkie had her crown and chest feather plucked out.

I built a new coop for her and 2 new white Silkies we got to keep her company.

The new ones are afraid of Claire and when we let them out to free range

Dottie and Darla beat feet away from Claire.

Claire makes her way to old coop and paces up and down in front hoping

to get in with the old flock.

How do I get her settled in the new coop and getting along with Dottie and Darla????

She will never be super friendly with the new ones as they bond with clutch mates and very seldom form deep bonds with other birds. She can however view them as part of her flock eventually. It will take months and possibly more than a year before she thinks of the new coop as her home. But for her own good she will have to get used to it, be prepared to feel sad for her for a while, she needs to mostly forget her other home. Chickens like routine and are slow to accept changes.

I happy to report that Darla, Dottie and Claire are getting along fine.

She is laying eggs regular and her feathers are coming back in!!!

That's good news. I'm sure she's happier with those more like her. I guess I overestimated how long it would take. Thank you for the update.
