Separating feed

I was just wondering what the best way to separate feed between drakes and hens is? I am a first time duck owner, so I have no clue how I should do that. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Usually you don't feed layer if you have drakes, you would feed all flock with oyster shell on the side. The drakes wont eat the oyster.

Okay awesome! When the time comes should I just have the oyster shell out in the open?

Put a container of oyster shell out of the weather close to their feed bowl. They will use it as needed
