I have a flock of 14 of different breeds, they are only 6wks old now and have always been together. This fall I am wanting to move some (4-5) into a chicken tractor to graze in a garden plot that will be planted in the spring. My question is will there be any problems, that won't be work out, when they are reintroduced back to the flock after being away for weeks or even a couple of months. I'm not to concerned about egg production slowing, my main concern is how they will be treated. I also thought of putting different groups in the tractor for only a week or so at a time and rotating them, would that be better or only confuse and upset them and the flock more? Thanks.

There will be some fussing any time you integrate (or reintegrate) birds. As long as there is plenty of room for escape, and multiple food and water sources, it is usually brief with birds that can see and hear each other regularly. Either of your options should work fine.
