Separating into breeding pens and isolation time ?'s

If I have several breeds or varieties of chickens free-ranging all together and then separate them into breeding pens, how long until I get "pure" eggs from them?

Well, most folks just go for 21 days and call it good. But..... stranger things have happened.

Yeah, 21 days is the norm. But I just go ahead and wait the full 30 days just to be sure.
