We have 10 ducks (4 are drakes), 16-17 weeks old. The ladies are starting to bob and lay and do the "inviting" pose while quacking, and the boys are starting to pick at them and try to hop on. We plan to separate the boys in their own coop on the other side of the yard, but are getting ready to leave for a trip and I don't know that I can get them a safe and secure coop put together until 2 weeks from now. Any ideas how long from the start of this behavior unail things get out of control? I don't want any of my girls to get hurt, but also don't want to endanger the boys by putting them in an unsecured shelter.

They will do all right. I have had 60 40 to male split and still did ok. But if they are setting on the eggs you should remove the male. This will help to keep eggs from getting broke.
