I'm not really in it for breeding, I just want a roo or two to keep the hens safe and make them feel more comfortable. Right now I just have one cockerel and that's how I'm going to keep it for now

If you are not doing it for breeding purposes, then 1 rooster is perfectly fine. Adding another one to a flock of 15 girls is a recipe for possible fighting between the roosters and potential over-breeding of your girls. Your girls will be more comfortable with 1 rooster, of that I am sure.
