seperate rooster until breeding time?

I have a beutiful Delaware Blue Hen Rooster but he is soooo mean and has attacked five people. I am thinking of moving him to another pen and when i want to breed a hen just put her in there with him. Will tha work?

I had a rooster that was mean to people too, i guess you should do that. What do you got to loose, right?

Yeah i guess. I just heard that chickens go under a lot of stress when members of thei group are removed or rentered.

I say it's almost spring and Craig's List will be FULL of "free roosters to good home"....

EAT The mean one and pick up a nice one for free later in the spring. Life is too short to put up with mean roosters.

(and there's nothing to say the mean rooster won't hurt or kill the hen you put with him for breeding....either on purpose or out of frustration at being separated from the flock)

Thats a good idea he is just so pretty. oh well there is a million other roosters out there
