We were told he is arcauna but has a weird genetic disorder of having a tail. He's golden laced. I tried to find anything that looked like him and I didnt see anything. If anyone has a rooster similar can you tell me the breed and post a picture of it for me? I want all the facts on this guy and confirm his breed. Also hes in a cage seperated yet visible to the flock but my silkie rooster kept attacking the cage and the arcauna ended up making my silkie rooster bleed so we had to put a fence between them to seperate them even more so now they cant fight at all. Also give me tips and tricks on integrating him into the flock?

Araucanas have distinctive feather tufts on the face. Based on that alone I would say this is not an Araucana. Sorry.
I am not set on having an aracauna we didnt care what his breed was when we got him. im just curious on best guesses on what he is and find an explanation on this "weird genetic disorder of having a tail growing" because the last owner said he wanted to get rid of him because of that (i assume he only wants pure aracauna) so im just trying to figure out what he may be a mix of

If I recall correctly, about 1/3 to 1/2 of purebred araucanas don't have tufts. It's a recessive that's hard to breed for without the eggs dying on you. As a breed they also have a very low hatchrate.

This bird may be a mix due to presence of tail, but it may just be an off-standard bird. Body shape and stance are giving me araucana vibes. They have a unique stature and way of standing/moving.

The color looks off to me, but I'm not as knowledgeable on araucana coloration, so I can't comment on that. I believe that genetically you have golden duckwing coloration.

Another good place to post pictures would be on the Genetics thread.
