I have a quick question, hoping one of you will be able to answer...I looked around at the info on here but there's so much sometimes it's easy to miss something.
Anyways, I'm wondering about when to weigh the egg during incubation? I know most sources speak about weighing before you begin and on the 18th day, but do you really not weigh in between? Like when you candle them at 7, 14, and 18 days? If you do, what percentage are you looking for in moisture loss?
Just curious, or do you keep track just by candling?
Thanks! Just want to make sure I do this right...![]()
whoa! that's so unfortunate, I'm sorry to hear! Do you think they will be ok? I hope so, sending them good vibes!Yikes! Just had an hour power outage... Covered the incubator as soon as it happened. Temps dropped to 92 and humidity spiked to 79%. (Sigh) It's back on now... And humidity has gone down to 60 but I think I'll have to take the small amount of water that I had in there out. Boo!
Thanks!I like how it's broken down here: https://poultrykeeper.com/incubating-and-hatching-eggs/weight-loss-method-forl-incubation/
Hope this helps for now!
