Harmesonfarm 101 is fine just move your eggs around so they are not sitting in the same place the whole time because with still air it's going to have hot and cold spots. Good luck

Not as many eggs collected yesterday as I had hoped. I did have one that got busted in the nest box. I got 13 though. Good start.

Candled today on day 4

Of the 24 bad air cell shipped serama, banty EE eggs; I have 6 that show good development and 4 that might have something.

Of the 12 white Bresse I picked up; I have 7 that show good veining, 3 that might have growth, and two clears..... the eggs are laid by 4 hens. Each hen laid a slightly different color, the clears and 1 of the mabyes were all laid by the same girl. I'm questioning her fertility.

I'm hoping these make it!!!

Right! It is very addicting.

Looks like it's quail for September. I bought 2 dozen, but only brought home sixteen, since I a small incubator. Even though they are tiny eggs, sixteen still seems like an awful lot in there. I only had one egg from my August hatch, but those were shipped eggs - and peafowl. These are local, freshly laid, and gently transported.

I also fully sterilized the incubator with bleach this time. Last time, I just used soap and hot water. Anything else I need to consider to have a better hatch? I use multiple thermometers and hygrometers, and will turn 3 or 5 times daily. Good luck to all with your hatching!

Hoping for good success with your eggs.

I set 39 Rhode Island Red eggs from my 10 girls on Saturday afternoon so i'm in too! My hatch date will be September 10 (day after my birthday!) I am am hatching for the first time, so I am hoping all goes well! I am using the Pro Series digital incubator 1250.
Update on the hatch! Candled tonight and like I said first time hatching... so my numbers may be off, but 22 of the 39 have some sort of development... there is one where I am pretty sure it is dead (blood line/ring thing) 8 that are clear and 4 that are iffy.... and of the 22 with development there are 7 that have veins that are very visible! So EGGCITED! Can't wait until hatch day. Sadly some of the chicks hatching will be the chicks of now dead hens... lost 2 hens to a dog attack and a 3rd is in really bad shape but is looking a little better today than yesterday.
