and whoever gets me no need to rush them I am patient and I know how it goes this time of year some are laying some are not. I know here one day I'll get just a couple eggs then a couple days later there are 10! The ladies can be crazy in fall. One good thing is my bantam coop is starting to lay I found 3 eggs and I have some crazy looking birds in there

I'll have to post a pick of one of the roosters it is some type of bantam but he is crazy small and cute as a button and he has to roost higher then anyone so he scopes out the top roost and finds the highest chicken on that roost and then roosts on that chickens back!
LOL...I had a little self-blue OEGB roo that did the same thing!!!

Remember, this month isn't a secret so you can pm your partners if you want to. I had a hard time not taking some of you as partners again knowing all of the awesome eggs that are available. If I had the cash, I would have had each of you send to me and I would have sent to each of you. Rules are made to be broken, right. Since I couldn't do this, I hope my 2 partners have room for lots of eggs. I'm getting 3-4 dozen a day and I hate having to cook them up to feed back to the birds. (That's not counting the 12-20 quail eggs a day nor the goose eggs, yup, a goose pullet decided to start laying). One partner is way west and the other is a stone's throw from Ohio.

Because there were so few of us, some are sending to and receiving from the same person. Please forgive me if you can.

Quote: What does "self blue" mean? I am being lazy and don't want to do a search. I don't know much about coloring and breeding terms, but now that I have joined these swaps I am getting more interested. I am going to seperate my bantams probably next spring into breeding groups just for fun.

Self-blue & lavender are the same thing, it just depends on which breed you are referring to as to which they happen to call it
