September Online Hatching Egg Swap

I only had one baby silkie hatch, luckily I had a 4 wk old baby Serama that wanted to play mommy to him. I'm not sure what happened with the rest of the eggs, but I think I might have had the Humidity to high. I think this Silkie is absolutely the cutest.

I'm going to have to move my quail inside to get them laying again, all the outside girls are slacking due to the light.
You have an old rabbit cage? we use those big ones for our little covys. Quail are lots of fun, but you need a fairly high girl/boy ratio.

Yeah I have a couple old hanging rabbit cages. I will use those.

Wooohoooo! So far 1 cream legbar has hatched, the other 2 are pipped. 2 jaerhorn have hatched and the other 6 have pipped!

I tossed two at lockdown, have two hatched so far and one pipping...not sure what's going on with the last two...

so I now have 3 cream legbars and 6 norwegian jaerhorn!

2 of the clb are pullets

as for the nj I have 3 pullets and 3 cockerels.

Wow what a hatching explosion 8 so far and one has green legs and the chipmunk stripes

I tried something different and hatched them in egg cartons and I accidently put one little end up but didn't notice until 1 1/2 days in lockdown. I didn't want to open the hatcher so I just left it and it hatched!! I will post pics after they are done hatching and get put in the brooder.
