Serama breeder recommendation

I know that a lot of serama breeders won't ship eggs. Most of them sell started birds. I bought all of mine from Jerry's Seramas. I live near him though, and it was easy for me to drive there. I know there are some people on here with great seramas. Also there is a message board scna for seramas. Good luck!

I will not sell chicks untill they are at least 5+ month becouse you never know how big they will be till that age, 6 months is better. I've got a 1/4 lb or less hen,(she won't stand still on the scale), my roo is just as small, but I will sell eggs if I'm not hatching

We're not selling eggs until the fall. We have show quality breeders, but you can never guarantee the eggs! We get great chicks though!

Really? A four ounce hen and rooster?

The way you say that it seams wrong, I wonder if my scale is off, 4 oz just sounds wrong, I 'm going to buy a new scale, though this hen is about the same weight and size as my quail. where can I buy a good mail scale

Me too. I have too just in case one seems off. lol They are really inexpensive.
If they are flighty, I use a small cardboard-pet-carrier-box and zero out the weight, then I put the bird in it and close the top. That way you dont have to worry about getting them to stand still on it.

You might try www.scnaonline.org and look under breeders.

Not many willing to ship eggs so look for someone close that you could pick the eggs up.

Amerrican Serama are still being worked on to produce a uniform strain.
