Barred is a very dominant gene, as is the blue color of your cockerel. The red he's showing is also pretty dominant, it takes a lot to cover up red. I would say she is probably selling birds from the same parents as what yours came from and I would bet money that her roo is barred.

If he is then every single one of his 'children' will show some degree of barring.

Yeah I know... thats what I am affraid because I have his half sister still (the mottled hen posted in this thread on the 1st page)... What I am hoping is that the Crele roos (who are all from the same hen) are from a OEGB hen and a Serama roo and the rest of her stock is Serama.. thats what i am hoping..

The mottled hen looks like full Serama.

I'm learning ! gumbii and joey are better than i am at it but we all kind of help each other one of us might see something the other one does not see . theres alot to learn about color on these little birds .

Thank you! he has since been sold since I just cant stomach the inbreeding thing an their brother and sister.. I have been trying to figure out what color she is for a month now.. Some say Mottled an some say Mille Fleur with run away white becuase of the Black in her tail feathers..

First off, your hen is not 'mottled', mottled is black with white spots. She looks more buff mottled, which is different than just 'mottled'.

Inbreeding does not exist in birds; it very rarely causes problems unless you line breed repeatedly. That being said, line-breeding rarely causes deformities, usually you will only have hatching problems (eggs won't hatch).

"my roo" was sold back in June, but him and the other roos in the OP are full brothers (Same mom and same dad)
My little Pullet, Star, is all of the roos half sister (same dad different mom)
and actually dad isnt barred!! He's Black Breasted Red!!
the roos mothers are, one is Black and the other is Red!

They look nothing OEGB. I've never seen an OEGB with vertical tail and wings.

I would his tail more of a 45 degree angle. Look at those long legs.
