Serama eggs would I be insane?

It's easiest to get a grown up pair. Then you can collect and hatch your own eggs.

keds where do you live? I have serama eggs for sale, as well as started birds.

I would very first get very familiar with the Serama type and standard.

You are going to want to get the best you can afford if you want to breed them! Even if you get chicks, you want the parents to be good stock.

Look locally first and make sure you know what you are looking for would be the best thing!
