Such pretty little babies! It is amazing how well they can fly at just a few weeks. Looks like they are getting some sunshine!
That is for sure! They are already flying out of the brooderSuch pretty little babies! It is amazing how well they can fly at just a few weeks. Looks like they are getting some sunshine!
Thats great! I have some eggs in the bator from my hens and a few others from a breederI am incubating a bunch of eggs right now, I have this one tiny frizzle that has been laying for a while. She is a class a or maybe a micro but her sister is much tinier than her and definitely micro. I wonder if she'll lay any eggs? These girls are super cute!!
She is a cute little lap bird! I was thinking your singleton was a boy, that is nice that you ended up with a hen.
I hatched one Serama at New Years and he was a bit ahead of the silkies I hatched so he was loud and kept me awake so I gave him to a little hen. She wasn't even broody but she adopted him. It has been almost 3 weeks now so she was getting a bit ancy and wanted to go outside but kept leaving her baby behind so I brought him in and chick sat most of the day. We took a nap together and he sat on my shoulder while I did stuff. He even took a little nap on the cat's back. These little birds are just so precious.
Well, we did pick up more eggs so Zippy wouldn't be the only bantam. We got 5 pulleys and 1 roo out of those. They're great little birds, all of them! And turns out, they definitely run things around here. The little roo LOVES my 3 big girls. It's so funny to watch him dancing as hard as he can for them while dodging their pecks and unapproving grumbles. He's not discouraged by it though.
