I have hatched hundreds of Serama chicks and I don't raise humidity at all. I keep it steady at 55%.
I did once raise it to 65% as someone suggested and we had sticky chicks. High humidity is blamed for drowning them - I actually think it is also likely that lifting the lid and letting cool air in might play a roll in it, but I can't say for sure.

I notice that my successful Serama hens get up regularly during 0-18 days, but they won't get up during the final days - instinct tells them that a cool down or dry air will ruin their hatch so I try to keep my curious little self out of it in those crucial last days as much as possible.
