hi everyone! I recently saved a little tiny straight run bantam, Chippy, who was nearly dead at my feed store. I handfed it bird starter, fully expecting it to die, but amazingly it lived. It had a nasty URI but has since gotten much better thanks to antibiotics. It’s super friendly and I really love it. We aren’t sure but due to it’s really tiny size compared to the other bantams, we think it’s a Serama mix. It’s 5 weeks old now. We are also thinking it’s a roo, but still hoping it’s a hen so we can keep it. The other pic of of another straight run bantam and I think she/he is a partridge silkie. Thoughts on gender (I know we can’t tell with the silkie until it crows or lays) and breed? Thanks in advance!
