As pennance for my committment to keeping a small flock, I am forced to select a pair of Seramas to part with. The hen is about 5-6 months old, and may be laying. She has been free-ranging my garage and yard for quite some time, and I suspect a hidden nest. I am now keeping her penned with a mate until I find out for sure, and I will update here with my findings. I estimate her color to be a buff laced meets wheaten. The boy is a Christmas hatch of my own breeding. Yesterday was the first I've stood him up to take a close look at him, and I like him more that I thought I did! This, of course, makes my decision to part with him a tough one. Though his comb looks dubbed, it's really just droopy. I handle it often, and it is beginning to stand up. He is a black tailed buff, and except for his color, he looks exactly like his father, the BBR mottled on my BYC page. Only Irish dancer Michael Flatley has more vertical "wings"! I believe the mother is the silver duckwing right beside him. Shipping on the pair will be $50, including box, or I could bring them to an upcoming show. I will be at the Green River show in KY in a couple of weeks, and at Greenville for the Dayton show the week afterwards. I haven't planned beyond that.
