My 9 month old serama rooster is not feeling well. We live in Texas so he is currently in a rabbit hutch in the garage with a fan blowing indirect air on him. He lives with a hen that is showing no symptoms.
We take him our frequently to play with him. A few days ago he showed very little interest in his play time. That was the first sign of trouble. Yesterday he refused mealworms, which he has never been crazy about, but would usually not pass up on. For the last few days he seems to stay in a constant state of ruffled feathers and he is not perky like normal. (he is a frizzle). He also is no longer holding his tail upright like he always does. His crow is a bit off as well.
He seems to be eating and drinking but I have not seen him do either. I have never wormed him (I did not know I was suppose to worm a chicken that does not live on the ground).
He is my baby and has always been so full of personality not he just stands and stares out his cage. What should I do?
Thanks
Dawn
