Serama vs Sebright

Breed standard calls for dark eyes. If you order chicks though, that's not possible to look for. If it's just for pets, it's not necessary
Mine are mostly just pets. Aside from some layers. I will be selling some chicks this spring if all goes well, but none are really SOP. Just cute :)

Those who have owned the breeds:
How have their temperaments been, both hens and roosters?
How do they get along with your other breeds, if you have any?
How many eggs do you typically get from them?

Trying to find first hand experiences while debating on what breed to go with next. I have one oegb hen. I'd like to find a breed similar in type and temperament.
I’ve had seramas, OEGBS, and sebrights. In my experience sebrights are a bit flightier and more easily frightened than my OEGBs were, but can be just as tame. Seramas are generally mellow with people and easy to handle. My sebrights and seramas both got along well with other bantams, I never kept them with large fowl. Sebrights and seramas aren’t really bred to be egg layers. I would say that sebrights are more like OEGBs in temperament, but seramas are a bit less skittish if you’re looking for that.
The seramas are going to be too small, even for the oegb. The sebright will likely do much better
That has not been my experience. However, if the OP wants a larger serama, they can just get pet quality, which tend to be about the size of an OEGB.

Pet quality would be fine here. They're more for enjoyment. I just love my birds. My kids and I raise them as a family hobby and just enjoy spending time with them, so personality is really the biggest factor for us.
