Hi! I am in Kuna! I just joined today. I have 12 chickens and 5 ducks. That is where I am staying for awhile it was only supposed to be 6 chickens and 3 ducks... numbers basically doubledHi, i've had chickens for over 4 years. I started off with 8 girls the first spring. We've added to our flock every year (and lost some, mostly roosters...) Currently, we stand at 23 laying hens with two in house roosters, and 27 chicks, out of which, I think 7 are cockerels.
We just got 24 hatching eggs in the mail, and are setting 6 eggs from one of our olive eggers that would be a third generation of ours to see if they will hatch. So, 30 eggs into the incubator today.
Yes, I am tired lol. We also have close to 50 beehives. I (Serena) work in healthcare, while my husband (Dee) works for a commercial beekeeper.
Thank you for allowing me to join your community.
