Hi everyone.
I've had my chickens for over a year. A couple of months ago, a stray sick hen found her way into my yard. She had some weird poop issue, was all pasted up, and died.
Now, a lot of my birds have been getting sick, but not with the same type of thing. One buff orp suddenly became unable to walk, and now another hen has some kind of eye issue. As soon as I find a sick one, she gets confined to the shed. The paralyzed buff orp is still eating and drinking, but seems to be withering away..now I have the other one confined separate but i don't know what to do. Should I put them all on antibiotics ? I don't want any more getting sick!

Oooo bad news.

Unless you know just what the disease is, medication is a crap shoot.
Even if a broad range anitbiotic seems to take care of it, they could still be carrying whatever disease it is and infect any future birds.

Depending on your current and future plans for chickens, culling all and starting over might be the most judicious plan.

Going to ask to have this thread moved to the disease forum, where you'll likely get more and better options.

X2 and I may be wrong but birds that get paralyzed usually have Marek's.

x3 and if it is mareks it usually stays in the ground and any birds you own in the future will get it you could try culling and ordering chicks that are vaccinated but i'm not sure

All of my birds are vaccinated foe mareks and bronchitis. I don't know what it was, but i suspect it was something brought in by wild birds. She hung on for over a week, then passed away. I did antibiotics in everyone's water for a few days, and so far, everyone else is fine. Thank you for the responses.
