Hi Everyone I’m May,
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes. I am new to owning chickens have taken care of them before but never owned until now. I got chicks on August 13 so they’re nearly 6 weeks old now.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have 6 waiting to see who’s a rooster and who’s a hen before we decide how many we’re keeping.
(3) What breeds do you have? Blue Australorps they all look rather unique though.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? There are many great things about raising chickens but obviously I think the best would be the eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Working in our veggie garden and just being outdoors.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. Live with my husband and 2 young girls in Aus. Dream of one day starting our own homestead.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
