I went down to the incubator to pull the turner out and send them into lockdown, and got chirped at by a pipper!
Why is there ALWAYS an early bird? Now, AGAIN, I'm going to be doubting my abilities and thinking I've killed the rest of them and nothing but the one is going to hatch for THE NEXT 3 DAYS.
Geeze.
At least I know the whole hatch isn't a failure. There will be at least one. Perfect incubation gets me an early bird every time. Screw ups the whole way through gets me either normal or late hatches.
It really doesn't look that scientific when a hen does it!
