Robin, trust me, I'm not keeping them all, LOL. No bird that I know for sure is leaving gets a name (usually, except in rare cases).

I take it "CJ" was a rare case???? He is still a stinker!

Well, you know how CJ got his moniker--he was supposed to be a Buff Orpington. When he popped out blue, thought the egg had been mismarked. Well, nope, this baby had a pea comb--what the heck, right? His mama was a bantam frizzle cochin/silkie cross with a pea comb, quite the oddball herself, and daddy was a standard Buff Orpington, hence the "Cracker Jack Surprise", proof that a standard rooster can mate a bantam hen successfully. CJ was always a sweetie. Now I'm sure he's spoiled rotten.

He's a Buff Orp in disguise...... He gets mistaken for a Blue Orp all the time

He has a BO girl in with him, along with Iris, Hazel, 3 Dominiques and a Black Cochin.

They are doing well, neither has gone broody yet this year, wonder how many times they will this year. Iris did 3 and Hazel 2 last year.
Babs, my BO turned 5 yesterday and she is a Hatchery bird (the only one I have) she is still laying at least 5 days a week.

Good about Babs! My Buff Orp, Sunny, my RIR Reba, and my Barred Rock, Lexie, are all over 5 now. Reba is the only one who lays, though Sunny was until recently.

Another Barred Rock has pipped. Didn't see it at first because it was on the underside of the egg, but it has a huge pip!
