Have your hubby get a hold of me when he is ready to build it and I will tell him everything he needs to know to get it right the first time.
First of all, that is too sweet of you. I appreciate the offer. I hope everyone on here appreciates my humor over my DH's to-do list. He's really great at building and creating and tinkering, he just has almost zero spare time. If he knew how much I spent on those eggs, he would be getting me something in here ASAP. So, yes, I did not get the incubator. I'm still over here with my styrofoam shipping boxes winging it. And I'm kind of freaking out - like eat two Ding Dongs freaking out - because the two hens in the barn that are due about the same time as me, I looked in their eggs tonight and for some reason their air cells look fatter than mine. I brought one inside and got two of my eggs out of the incubator that were about the same size and I drew lines around all the air cells and then from the outside it looked pretty much the same. So I got the tape measurer and measured from one side to the other across the top and that measured about the same, but theirs still looked fatter than mine. I can't take it if I kill them all again. I didn't measure these in grams so to be honest I don't know how accurate I am.
Mohillbilly, I obviously need an incubator that does the work for me.....and not a hen.....I can't get them to always sit when there is a good auction on! I just haven't figured out the humidity.
if he notices just tell him you found them wandering around outside.![]()
That's too funny. I am hot on the trail of some cochin eggs I have found on an auction. I'm not going to say anything about them. I'm just going to trot on down to the PO and pick those up when nobody's looking and stick them in with everything else. Should he ever notice in the future, I'll just be like WOW, I think someone suckered me. That's a funny looking silkie. The feathers on its feet will more than likely confuse him. Uhhhmmmmm
