Set eggs! anyone wanna join?

My little house serama ended up going broody, so I put my eggs under her. She is doing an excellent job. Her tiny little 12ounce self is managing to cover 3 Marans eggs and 4 Silkie eggs. She is out eating right now. Do you think I should tell her that she is in lockdown?

As an aside, I will be having serial hatches every Tuesday, for the next several weeks. My Marans are laying pretty well, and my EE's are finally getting more consistent. I really want some Olive Eggers, so I am excited for that.

I set my first hatch yesterday afternoon 1-16-10. Trying to hatch some delawares and assorted mutts from the flock. 33 eggs total. Good luck to us all.

Ahhh spring must be just around the corner with all this hatching going on!
I've got 20 set on 1/12. 18 showing growth and 1 maybe.

Me and my brother just bought a dozen mixed eggs of ebay .. we put 6 of them in the incubator on 15 - 01 ..second 6 yet to arrive (should be tommorow (18th) ..also just took one egg from a set of birds we have currently and put that in to just to see if anything happens lol


Hopefully we will have our first batch of chicks around 5th feb

I set eggs for first time 10 days ago in a hovabator 1588. They are blrw some blue wyndottes and starting a buff columbian project. I'm not using a hygometer for humidity don't know if I really need one or not. But otherwise I'm adding some water every three days or so with a siringe and straw. Mike

well guys, its day 20 for me now and no signs of life at all, no rocking, peeping or cracks. I just hope hatching will begin tomorrow.
