Set eggs today...

This is my first attempt using my new little giant.

Sett 11 eggs at 10pm. Temp is good, humidity seems ok, so I went for it....

Congrats I hope you have a great hatch! I set 16 delawares yesterday so today is day 1 for them. Then I set 14 silkie eggs from Julie on the 20th and then placed 8 of my own silkies eggs in the bator today.

Roo: Black Australorp

Girls: 3 ISA-Browns, 3 NewHampshire Reds, 1 RIR, 1 Barred Rock(broody girl right now), and an EE


An EE egg was not set(easy to figure out), Barred Rock has been broody so no eggs from her.... other than that who knows...


this is my first batch so I am testing the waters. Ideally I was going to pick up some Black Australorp eggs to get some hens so I can have purebreds....(fyi for no particular reason other than my roo happens to be BL Australorp and I like purebred animals).
