Set Jan 29, Hatch Feb 19/20 Join Me!

I was just sitting at the bator thinking how I probably fried my eggs on day 4 when I realized the temp was 102°. Absolutely no movement at all.....

Then I heard a tiny, tiny little chirp. At first I thought it was my computer fan squeaking, but then it did it again and I saw one of my maran eggs has a little pip on the side and I could see a point of a beak pushing out on it! Woo Hoo!

Then I got to looking REAL close (I put my glasses on, duh) and saw two of the green EEs also have pips on them.

I have three pips! (angels singing Hallelujah chorus)

Now I wish the LG incubator had larger viewing panes. It's really hard to see all the eggs in the far front and back.

Ha! I just heard the chirping again.

BTW this evening will be day 20 for me.

I still have just one pip... But its really working on it, Its little hole is getting bigger and bigger... Maybe I'll at least get one chickie! Give us updates... I am so eggcited for you!

Yea! That's great! I'm worried about my first little pip. The eggs are lying on their sides and the pip is at the bottom of the egg by where it laying. I can see something moving in there and it looks like it's cracked more under the egg. Hoping it can figure out how to crack open the top and sides. One of my pips looks bigger although not quite through the whole egg yet but it's rocking around. Every time I talk, I hear a chirp. So cute!

I have an idea that chirping will get rather overwhelming if we have substantial hatches. I can just imagine 30 or so chicks yapping away in there in the next few days. DW will probably be relieved to get the whole thing out of her living room.

Good luck to you all.

You have to look closely (put your glasses on, lol) but there is a pip in the lower left corner and one in the upper right corner of this first photo....

I finally have a pip! but its huge about the size of half a dime of shell is missing. I never had an egg with this large of a pip and you can see that its membrane bled a little i have no clue why this egg made such a big hole hopefully it wont dry out her membrane.

I am on day 21 and I have one teensy microscopic pip, and a 4ft X 4ft brooder...might have to trade it in for a tupperware bowl! All my eggs are still just rocking all over the place. I keep telling myself they have all pipped on the bottom and I just can't see them.I have one "humpty" egg that had a hairline crack over the air cell from shipping that is rocking so much he's actually making the crack bigger. I keep watching him and waiting for him to just pop out of the top! I'll be really interested to see if he hatches. My 2 slow pokes aren't rocking so I wonder if they quit on me. I have my humidity at 67 and temp at 99.5. Don't know what else to do. Looks like I am going to have a late hatch if I get a hatch at all. Poo-ey! So glad to hear most everyone else is seeing some pips, though! Milleryard- I am sure it will be very soon. Stinks that fivestring is gonna miss his hatch!
