well I have worked my tail off all week everyday before going to work to get my coop and turn out lot done so I could go pick up some chickens from a local breeder this weekend to find out that all his flock got killed

What a shame! Hopefully you will both be able find some more birds.

What a terrible shame. I hope he will build more secure areas for them. If he free ranges - all bets are off.

I bought 16 3week old chicks on Monday 8 bar rock and 8 Rhode Island reds, from a local feed store
