Setting 42 eggs tonight! 4-5-11

I'm setting 42 eggs tonight! Is anyone else? I got 12 Black and blue copper Marans eggs, 12 Speckled Sussex eggs and 18 EE eggs. The EE's and Marans are from my own birds and the Speckled Sussex are from itsmyobsession.

I set 10 mail order hatching eggs under a broody hen this morning... 3 EEs, 3 white silkies, and 4 silver spangled hamburgs. I have never done this before... I hope at least a chick or two make it through the process.

I set 10 showgirls,6 silkies,8 cochin,and 4 white japs.Hope all goes well

I bought the showgirl eggs suppose to be reds and some whites.

Candled last night and the speckled Sussex are doing good 7/12 are growing good, 3/12 are to dark of shell to tell and 2/12 are clear. For shiped eggs I'd say thats pretty good. All the Marans and EE's are to dark to tell anything.

I set 2 dozen standard eggs, 1 dozen i bought are mixed and a dozen of my own that are mixed, then i thru in 8 bantam eggs, out of that i have 19 going strong, the rest were mostly clears.

Two Sussex chicks are out and no signs of any more pips but I'm giving all the egg til sunday before I do anything.
