6 days to go! I had to throw one away - it was spoiled. I have 8 buff orphingtons, 2 copper poppyseed and 4 of 6 white poppyseed (a lady that is trying to make a breed that is strong, lays lots of eggs and is not skittish), and 3 of 6 Stanley (easter eggers with hen being an ameraucana and the rooster being a polish - makes an interesting top hat) plus 20 ameraucanas and 4 easter eggers. It has been a llllloooooonnnnnngggggg 21 days.

Hey fellow hatching party members!

This is supposed to be a PARTY

remember? What's everyone up to? Has anyone candled again? Here's what's goin' on at my place:

Was able to get the replacement part to my automatic egg turner and install. Guess what? The piece that they sent wasn't the problem, a different piece was missing

My DH was able to get it working again though, so I changed the paper towel in the bottom of the incubator to that Rubbermaid soft shelf liner cloth. I'm adding water about every two days to keep the humidity between 45-55%.

Tick, tock, tick, tock, we're almost there

I'm waiting on the hurricane right now, they have down-graded the winds for my area, but 40-50mph can still cause problems.

Keeping my fingers crossed it's not bad and I have a propane stove and hot water bottles to try and keep things going if the worst happens.

Just got home to find the Bator at 102

and I don’t understand it’s been so steady and a few more days left and they will hatch hope this didn’t screw them up.

but i hope everyone else is doing good.

I'm going to candle tonight and see how many I have left and once more on Wednesday before lockdown only 6 days to hatch

hope the temp spike didn’t mess my hatch up
