Just keep an eye on it and slowly turning it down to where it needs to be. I wouldn't run out and by another one. All bators hard to deal with they are like husbands in some way or another

Since I am a newbie to the bator.... I have a question.
I have the little giant still air version. Temp is good.
Just when I open the lid to turn them the temp goes down to like 90 or so. then it goes back up to the normal temp its set at.
is this ok? will it slow down the hatch everytime I have to turn them.

Shouldn't drop that much during turning? It only takes a second, but I put my hand on them and roll them, I don't hand turn each egg, might be the difference.

Make sure your incubator is in a draft free room also. I just set my second incubator full of eggs and it is in my big bathroom and the temp is holding steady....unlike when the last batch was in my dining room. Plus, I am not hovering like the last time. I have to be in there because the brooder is in there too.....but it is a warm room!
