Umm...I have a turner. But thought that if I rotated them that would make up for the uneven temps in the incubator. I know, it would be easier to buy the fan but this will be my last hatch this year.....

bburn you can buy a PC fan for a little of nothing. You could do an internet search on how to install them it is very easy.

Wellllll....DH is working out of town. I have internet. Just need to go do a search then......and I put it on even though I have an incubator full of eggs...this is just the first week?

You know if I remember when I done mine, we had eggs in the bator too. I would maybe wrap the eggs up in a towel to keep them warm while doing this. And REMEMBER to UNPLUG ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE BATOR WHILE WORKING ON IT.

Wow I know its early but being a very impatient first time incubator I candled my eggs today when I added water and cant believe how much developement I was able to see. I actually candled them in place I did not want to handle them to much but I was still able to see veining in 20 out of 24 eggs. Keeping my fingers crossed things continue going well this is much more nerve racking then when I hatched using broody hens, but it is alot of fun to!! Heres hoping everyone gets a good hatch!!

So...did you just raise the lid and do them one by one in the incubator? I ordered a candler and it should be in the mail today. I have to wait, I have to wait......do not candle yet. Need to wait three more days!

bbburn, what kind of candler..you probably mentioned somewhere...is it a brinsea? You will HAVE to let us know how it works. I know of someone else that ordered a candler, waiting to see how hers works. Hers is a seabring.

For fun, here are my frizzle cochins that I hatched a couple of days ago. LF, going to be big, I can tell already.
