Setting (Again) April 16th-18th...

Up to 4 of my BLRW hatched....the rockeregg hasn't rocked in a while (6 or 7 hours since I visually saw a rock but have been gone a while) and I don't see a pip so I'm a little worried for that one. I don't want to open the incubator to candle it....and tech. tomorrow is supposed to be hatch day so maybe it was just getting into position? It's the biggest of my eggs.


Still waiting on those darn 2 Spitzhauben eggs to do something *tapping foot impatiently*


Without a fan it sure seems to take them a while to fluff up.....

Well, here we go....some of the new fuzzy butts. Most are out of the mixed flock. BO Roo over RIR hens and EE's. There are some BR's in the mix as well as a few Cochin Babies.

Hey, hope you guys don't mind me intruding for a quick question.

I just did something real stooopid! I was adding more eggs to my incubator and one slipped out of my hand and fell onto the top of another egg. It made a small crack and indentation in the poor egg. All I could think to do was to melt candle wax and cover the crack and dent without covering up too much and there by blocking air exchange.
So what d y'all think? I know I can just wait and see but I wondered if anyone has ever been successful at hatching a cracked egg before. I'm curious to here anyone's story.
By the way, all the chick pics are sooo great! I usually hang out on the WA thread. It's so chatty over there that it's all I can do just to keep up with that one thread, so I don't get out much to these other threads.
I have 23 eggs cooking right now and have some LS eggs coming this week. Should have a batch hatching every week for the next month and then some! It's so addicting, I just can't help myself!!!

Hope everyone had a great Mother's day and I can't wait to hear if anyone has a cracked egg story!

...BTW....that is my biggest fear, dropping one especially towards the end!

I am hatching some RIR B's for a BYC buddy and there are only 4 of them. So which one did I crack? Of course it had to be one of those and not one of the oodles of mine!
MURPHY! I did not need him to visit!
On a happier note, we had these two cuties hatch this weekend.
