I have some EO's and they were very skittish. I force held them gently a couple times a week until they stopped struggling to get away which really helped. Now that mine are getting up on 2 mths old they are so much better! They are such beautiful birds!

i have been holding them a lot for short times. today when i held them the orp fell asleep in my hand. so sweet. they are afraid when my hand goes into the brooder but then after i pick them up they are fine. yay

I hold them two at a time when they are small. They don't complain about leaving the brooder, as much, when they have a buddy with them.

I have a very low stool I sit on when I go out to spend time in the brooder room. I stretch my legs out straight and within a few minutes there are 6-10 visitors on my legs. One FBCM roo is always the 1st there and stays the whole time I'm in there. He loves when I pet him. Sure hope he stays nice so I don't have to ship him off to freezer camp!

there are only two of them and i do try to take them out together. they have gotten better but still not happy to see me. oh well i'm sure it will get better.

My hatch went great! 1 clear, 1 mid quitter, and the rest hatched!

Ended up with 5 black, 4 blue and 2 lav AM's! The blacks and blues could also be splits.
