I have a hen who has been broody for a while, in my classroom sitting on 5 eggs. The eggs are 2 Maran, 2 Speckled Sussex and 1 Silkie. The silkie egg is from my flock, the other eggs are not.

She has been in my classroom since Monday night. We placed the eggs under her Wednesday. We have seen her eating, not drinking. She has not pooped since Sunday. She does not usually seemed bothered by the kids or the bell or anything.

Today the kids started noticing her "yawning". There is no sound. I tried to get a video, but couldn't. She's also been shaking her head, which you can see in the attached video. This behaviour has only been observed today.

I checked out the rest of the chickens in my flock. They don't seem to be presenting the same behaviour. I may need to observe them longer.

Is this gape worms?

Thanks
